Bussers or dining room attendants assist waitstaff in tending to guests to add to their overall dining experience. Bussers are responsible for cleaning tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, ensure guests' water glasses remain full, deliver bread baskets and reset tables throughout dining room. Bussers may be asked to assist with other guest related services to include but not limited to: restocking utensils, napkins and other dining room items, running food to guest tables, etc. 

Individuals within this position should be aware of the guests at all times and remain attentive and neat in appearance. Bussers are an important part of the overall dining experience at Food Wine & Co. Bussers make sure waitstaff are able to focus on the guests and their needs are always being tended to. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Clean dining room tables and surrounding wait stations 
  • Ensure the dining rooms are well kept in appearance
  • Assist waitstaff in tending to guests within facility 
  • Assist with other guest related services as requested
  • Relaying messages and properly communicating with floor manager and wait staff
  • Ensure guests' dining needs are met / maintained 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Needed: 

  • Ability to take and follow instructions in both verbal and written form 
  • Ability to make decisions while remaining in accordance to Food Wine & Company's business practices 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, upbeat and lively environment 
Availability and Experience: 
  • Open weekday and weekend availability 
  • Prior restaurant experience
